At ARoll Home Improvement & Design, we design and implement beautiful accent walls for any room in your home. One of our most popular designs is the slat wall, a great feature wall for any modern living room.

How do we make a Slat Wall?

Slat walls are a sleek, beautiful accent wall, perfect for any modern living room. Slat walls feature many small pieces of wood arranged in “slats” with small spaces between. Our expert team carefully arranges the wooden pieces, crafting them in a design that is both beautiful and precise.

We begin our design process by consulting you to determine exactly what you need in your home. Then we make it look functional and beautiful. We’re different from our competitors because we consult you throughout the design process, from start to finish.

You’ll be able to see the sketch of our idea before we finalize it, so you have the final say in what’s going on your wall. We can even incorporate many design elements including fireplaces, shelving, and smart lighting.

Stylistic choices

When it comes to slat wall colouring, there are so many options to choose from. Whatever your choice, our expert designers can match it perfectly to your home and decor.

At ARoll, we can stain the slat wall wood anything from a dark brown or black to a pale gray or white. The staining process and the colour you want for your home may take longer to achieve. A darker colour requires 2 or 3 coats of staining and can take up to 3 days for us to prepare, but getting the right colour for your home will be worth the wait.

If you aren’t sure what colour to choose, our expert team can make recommendations based on your home and furniture. We will find the perfect colour and design for you!

Some of our bigger slat wall projects, like our project in North Vancouver, can take up to 2 weeks to prepare the materials and staining. For this project, we used the beautiful Morning Hazel stain colour. There are many colour options to choose from.
